Do you know that at any one time, there are many, many My Dan’s Member Offers happening? Like, many. The only downside? It’s so hard to know which ones to take advantage of. Chances are, the average person doesn’t have the time to sift through them all, which is why we’ve enlisted the help of our Dan’s Daily Editor to pick her top 10 worth snapping up this month (because we certainly will be).

From a classic cool-climate shiraz and a raicilla produced by an Aussie in Jalisco, Mexico, to a non-alcoholic aperitif that tastes like the real thing, there’s a little something to tickle everyone’s fancy. No secret password is required to access these drinks at an exclusive price either – you just need to be a My Dan’s member (totally free to join). So, what are you waiting for? Become part of the fam, pick from our curated list and get sipping! Offers run from 29 June to 19 July.

1. 22 Degree Halo Kaleidoscope of Mayhem Red Blend

There’s a simple message behind 22 Degree Halo: to introduce drinkers to climate-adaptive grape varieties. The makers believe wine is here to be enjoyed, but it can also play an important role in mitigating what we do to our climate. Their tasty Kaleidoscope of Mayhem Red Blend features a bunch of different grape varieties including shiraz, lambrusco, montepulciano and tinta caida. It’s fun, juicy and robust – a little unexpected in the best way. Be sure to add this one to your trolley.

2. Hither & Yon Touriga Tempranillo

Run by two brothers, Richard and Malcolm Leask, Hither & Yon started as a “bottle project” in 2011 and has since sprouted into a much-loved wine brand of its own. We love them for their serious focus on regenerative agriculture, sustainability and biodiversity – among many other practices, they’ve planted thousands of native plants in their McLaren Vale properties, as well as Mediterranean grapes that are better geared for a shifting climate, and every aspect of production considers the effect on the planet. In fact, the whole winery is carbon neutral. Of course, we also love them for producing undoubtedly delicious wine. The Hither & Yon Touriga Tempranillo is made up of 60% touriga nacional (a red variety considered by many to be Portugal's finest) and 40% tempranillo. It’s purple and intense, fleshy and ripe. Take a leaf out of Hither & Yon’s book and try it alongside a seafood stew of pipis, prawns, squid and barra – and don’t forget the toasted baguette and lemon wedges to serve.

3. Mount Langi Cliff Edge Shiraz 2014

Shiraz fans, this pick is for you! We’re full of praise for this tasty drop from famed Victorian shiraz producer, Mount Langi Ghiran in the Grampians. The grapes for the Cliff Edge Shiraz are sourced from a selection of blocks across their vineyard, expressing the intensity, purity and finesse that are all possible thanks to the cool climate, historic vines and granite soils where the vineyard is located. With grapes picked nearly a decade ago, this baby is perfect for drinking right bloody now. Expect plum, dark ripe cherries, blackberry and a hint of black pepper. This is genuinely excellent wine – full eleganza extravaganza.

4. Estancia Raicilla

To the lovers of all things agave, it’s really time you tried raicilla (pronounced “rye-see-ya”). Like tequila and mezcal, it’s also made from the agave plant, but it’s roasted (like mezcal) rather than steamed (like tequila). It’s sometimes referred to as ‘Mexican Gin’ as it’s far more fragrant, herbal and fruity. The Estancia Raicilla is an excellent example. Australian owned and Mexican made (Adelaide-born founder Rio Chenery is part Mexican himself), it’s named after the distillery, La Estancia de Landeros, which sits about 1000m above sea level in the Jalisco foothills. The bottle is made from recycled Coke and tequila glass and its contents taste like a strong, fresh gin, with hibiscus, plum and pineapple notes. We like to use it as a replacement for gin, but Rio suggests trying it in a spirit-forward cocktail like an Old Fashioned, or a tropical cocktail like a Daiquiri.

5. 1800 Coconut Tequila

As much pleasure as there is to be found in the ancient flavours of the raicilla above, there’s room in our hearts for new takes, too. They don’t always work out, but 1800 Coconut hits different. Our Editor, Lara, was convinced to try it by one of the excellent bartenders at Transformer (in Fitzroy, Melbourne) and she’s been obsessed with the stuff ever since. There’s no icky fake flavouring to be found here – the coconut notes are all natural, the 100% Blue Agave tequila still plays the leading role, and it’s outrageously yum. Lara likes to sip it on its own, but it’s also fab on the rocks or with pineapple juice.

6. Eiko Japanese Vodka

If you’re on a journey to find the vodka that works for you, give this a spin. Our next pick is a silky 100% corn-based vodka from Hokkaido island – the northernmost of the four main islands that make up Japan, famous for its unique crystal-clear waters. The process to create Eiko Vodka is meticulous; it’s distilled three times, then filtered four times through sand and charcoal, which helps give it that silky-smooth consistency and interesting flavour profile. You know what else is silky-smooth? That price right now.

7. Curatif Tequila Tromba Tommy's Margarita

Bringing the bar to where you are is Curatif’s shtick, and we’re all about it. They offer a range of tasty cocktails ready-to-serve right out of the can. For those times where shaking your own is just impractical (festivals, picnics, shaker is in the dishwasher) this is the next best thing. Their Tommy’s Margarita (different to a regular Marg in that it replaces the triple sec with agave syrup) is bang on, thanks in no small part to a quality base of Tromba tequila. Tromba’s master distiller, Marco Cedano, formerly led the charge at Don Julio (AKA agave heaven), so his tequila base together with Curatif’s canned-cocktail knowhow makes for a very delicious collaboration. Before you ask – this is an actual Tommy’s Marg, so each can comes in at 18.5% ABV.

8. Blackman's Brewery Mervyn Pale Ale

Warning: if you’re outside of Victoria, you won’t be able to snatch this one up – it’s local only. For the lucky Victorians still reading, you’re in for a treat. If you could bottle – or, in this case, can – good times it would probably taste like Blackman’s Mervyn Pale Ale. They’ve picked up a slew of awards for it, too. Crack one open and you’ll be hit with a generous serve of aromatic hops. Take a sip and savour the bold tropical flavours and medium bitterness of this moreish brew out of Torquay. The Blackman’s crew make their beers with the best-quality ingredients and pride themselves on giving their beers the right amount of time in the tank. Just like catching the perfect wave, there’s no rushing… is what we imagine a cool surfer drinking this beer might say.

9. Abstinence Blood Orange Aperitif 0% Non Alcoholic Spirit

There’s nothing like an Aperol Spritz or Campari and Soda on a Sunday afternoon – except actually there is, and it’s this. When you fancy an aperitif sans alcohol, look no further than this yummy, sober-friendly number. Abstinence Blood Orange Aperitif offers all the richness and complexity of flavour you’d expect from a traditional aperitif and that’s no small feat. Add a splash of this to soda or tonic water and top with a slice of lemon – or even pick up some zero% prosecco and make yourself a proper Aperitif Spritz. It’s giving Amalfi.

10. Little Creatures Flying Low Non-Alcoholic Cans

The Flying Low Non-Alcoholic beers are Little Creature’s first foray into the world of non-alc brews. The goal? Give people everything they love about a crafty pale ale, at no more than 0.5% ABV. We can now report that it’s hoppy, delightfully fruity and fairly full bodied, with a rainbow of passionfruit, stone fruit, zesty citrus and sweet mandarin flavours thanks to a combination of Chinook, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. Careful dry-hopping means plenty of flavour comes through. Being a My Dan’s member means you get a six-pack for just $14.
