Chef and TV personality Khanh Ong will host the next Dan's Night Out

Have dinner with the iconic celebrity chef (and because you’re a friend of Dan’s Daily, we’ll give you 50% off).

Open that group chat because Dan’s Night Out is back, baby! And stepping into the hilarious hosting shoes of none other than Lucinda ‘Froomes’ Price (AKA the CEO of Froomesworld) is everyone’s favourite celebrity chef, Khanh Ong. Now, it's almost Christmas (scary), which means calendars are filling up and the text threads are flooded with everyone trying to land on a date for end-of-year dinner and drinks. Three words: Dan’s Night Out.

For two nights only (one in Sydney and one in Melbourne), you and your mates can pull up a spot at the table next to Khanh. That sounds like a pretty good Friendsmas to us. If your pals are busy, come down and make some new friends over outstanding food and bloody delicious drinks.

Here’s the need to know: In Sydney, Khanh will host Dan’s Night Out at Lady Chu in Potts Point on Thursday, November 13. In Melbourne, we’re taking over Serai in the heart of the city on Thursday, November 13.

Tickets to Dan’s Night Out in Melbourne and Sydney were snapped up within hours and both have now sold out (we’re sorry!). But, if you’re in Melbourne, you can join the waitlist and we promise to let you know if a spot opens up. If you’d like to have dinner with Khanh in Sydney, we have managed to get our hot little hands on a few tickets for Dan’s Daily lucky ducks (AKA you). And guess what? Because you’re our mates, we’re slinging you these babies for 50% off, that’s right, half the price of the original ticket – that’s a $60 night out filled with great drinks, outstanding food and loads of fun (FYI it’s two tickets per booking). But don’t sleep on these when we say a few, we mean it. TLDR: Book your Sydney seats here.

You may know Khanh from MasterChef; he’s an Australian-Vietnamese chef, TV personality (Survivor fans, we see you) and author. You may also be familiar with Khanh’s TikTok – let’s talk about the genius dishes he makes in (literally) two minutes.

Sydneysiders at Vietnamese restaurant Lady Chu can expect dishes like sashimi tuna rice paper rolls and Peking duck. Family-style mains include vermicelli salads, vegan ants falling off a tree, slow-cooked duck in plum sauce and, of course, there are also all the sides. And it wouldn’t be a trip to Lady Chu without a pandan parcel (or two).

At Melbourne’s Filipino institution Serai, you’ll be treated to Kare Kare (IYKYK) – a hash brown with peanut sauce, herbs and salted duck egg – along with bluefin tuna, pork belly, wagyu beef rump with pinoy chimichurri, to name a few. And for dessert? It has to be the Pina Colada magnums.

There will also be outstanding drinks – it’s what we do best, after all. We’ve had a sneak peek at the list and we think you’ll be impressed – think Champagne, rosé from the Languedoc-Roussillon region, pinot noir from the Yarra Valley and more (there might even be an appearance from the very new and very delicious RoRo).

Both nights will be jam-packed with food and drink (come hungry!), conversations with Khanh, a live cooking demo from the master himself (we’ve heard Khanh’s making a very popular, very delicious family recipe), a few Dan’s-style games and a little wine education.

What are you waiting for? Come and fill your cup. Get texting and secure the final seats to Dan’s Night Out Sydney* at 50% off – you can book here or sign up to Melbourne’s waitlist here. Join us for an unforgettable night of friends, food, wine and conversation with Khanh Ong.

*Two tickets per booking.
