From as little as $11, these standouts give new meaning to ‘punching above their weight’.
We know we’ve been shouting about our Dan Murphy’s Best in Glass Wine Awards, but we think the Best Value winners might just be the most exciting wines of the lot. You see, our Dan Murphy’s Wine Merchants were put to work judging the top wines up for contention – whittled down from a pool of more than 700 – and they came back with three winners for almost every category: the best local wines, covering Australia and New Zealand, the best international wines and these best value wines. But when you consider the fact that every wine in these awards came in under $50, the ‘best value’ title is a Pretty Big Deal.
If you think major award-winning wines are never in your budget, you’ll love trawling through these Best in Glass Best Value wines. Each one was tried and tested in terms of how delicious it is, first and foremost, as well as how it fits into an everyday, real-life context. This includes how the wines work with the meals we all have on high rotation, the occasions where we tend to open a bottle and the celebrations that we share with our favourite people, no matter how big or small the win.
Here, we run through the Dan Murphy’s Best in Glass Best Value wines, so take your pick from the winning sparkling, whites and reds below. To make it even more enticing, each wine comes with a My Dan’s member price (offers available until 28 May). Bargain.
