A line-up of five of the best EOFY deals at Dan Murphy's

You made it six months into 2024, and we know just the way to celebrate.

Lara is the Editor in Chief of Dan’s Daily. Each month, she scours the list of 300+ My Dan’s Member Offers to find her favourite deals – the bottles you’ll definitely want to grab while the price is right. Join My Dan’s for free to get the best prices, exclusive offers and access to member-only events and experiences.

I’m writing this from the other side of the world – Mexico City, to be precise – where the sun is blaring, the Cuba Libres are flowing and a perfect taco is never more than two blocks away. But, in exactly three days, I will be back on Melbourne soil. Am I looking forward to a miserable Melbourne winter? To scraping ice off my windscreen before driving to work in the dark? To complaining about how much everyone else is complaining about the cold? I think you can guess the answer.

So, what looming event is keeping me in good spirits? End of financial year, baybeeee. I love getting a sick deal more than almost anything. I’m that person flinging links through to the group chat when I spot something really excellent. I’ve even got OzBargain alerts set up. Those EOFY sales get my spidey senses tingling, and none more so than the My Dan’s Member Offers. To be fair, there are always hundreds of exclusive My Dan’s member prices up for grabs, but things get dialled up for EOFY.

Below, find the five drinks I’ve already ordered for home delivery to greet me upon my return. Foolproof buys that you can thank me for later. Peruse the full list of EOFY offers here – and remember, the prices end on July 3, so get in now while the getting’s good.

The Four Pillars Olive Leaf Gin, which is perfect for making Dirty Martinis

1. Four Pillars Olive Leaf Gin

This is a slam dunk (and one that’s always in my cupboard). Don’t take my word for it though – we recently canvassed a bunch of pro bartenders on their favourite gins for Martinis and this bottle came up a lot. You’ve got a blend of savoury botanicals (think rosemary, coriander seed, lemon myrtle, macadamia, grapefruit and beyond), plus olive leaf and oil. It gives a classic Dry Martini that bit more umami, or bumps up your Dirty Martini to absolutely filthy. Buy it at any price, but especially when it’s on offer.

Non-member price: $87.99
Member price: $78

2. Ron Los Valientes Aged Mexican 15 Year Old Rum

As a proud Mexican, I love my tequila, I love my mezcal, but I also love my rum. If you haven’t wrapped your mouth around a Mexican rum before, now’s the time. The Villanueva family has been crafting brilliant rums for three generations in the coastal state of Veracruz  – a region famous for its sugar cane. Aged for 15 years in charred American oak barrels, this is peppery yet artfully balanced by rich, dark chocolatey, burnt caramel flavours and subtle sweetness. It’s a complex rum that shines as a sipper, but there’ll be no scoffing from me if you choose to mix it with cola. So. Good.

Non-member price: $83.99
Member price: $70

3. Tamdhu 15 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Scotch is not a cheap hobby, which is why I’m extra stoked to see this one with a banging member offer. If you like your single malts with a heavy dose of sherry cask influence – perhaps you usually opt for a fellow Speyside distillery like Macallan or Glenfarclas – try Tamdhu. I love the 15 year old. To me, it’s fruitcake in a bottle – sweet toffee, candied summer fruits, plus good punchy baking spice. The perfect ‘I made it to tax time’ gift, maybe?

Non-member price: $194.99
Member price: $158

4. Billy Button The Affable Barbera 2022

What an insanely excellent Victorian wine this is. Easily one of the most delicious barberas in the country, if you ask me (and I suppose you have). Super expressive, effortless balance, earthy and herbaceous with tonnes of dark cherry and plum fruit. Despite all this flavour, it’s a relatively light and fresh wine. We’re talking juicy. I’m a big fan – as are the Halliday critics, who awarded it a whopping 95 points.

Non-member price: $34.99
Member price: $30
Note: this wine is only available online or in select NSW, QLD and VIC stores.

5. Zytho Brewing Zesty Pale Ale

A summery beer in the middle of winter? Hell yeah. It helps feed my tropical delusions despite the freezing temperature. This Australian-made pale ale is full of fruity, citrusy, melon flavour, it’s super crisp and it’s easy drinking – all things that helped it pick up Bronze medals at the Australian International Beer Awards in both 2024 and 2023. Just bang on the money (especially at this price) if you like a refreshing beer.

Non-member price: $72 for 24
Member price: $65 for 24
Note: above pricing may vary slightly depending on state
