4 drinks to toast your friendly, local Cancerians

It's Crab season – time to give back to the most caring (and moody) zodiac sign.

 

Stock up on tissues and get your fave woolly blanket out, Cancerian season is upon us. The messy binch of the zodiac (soz, queens, please don’t cry). We joke, but we love those big beautiful crabs. They’re the Bubbles to our Buttercup, the sugar to our spice and the strawberry to our cream. And for that reason, we reckon it’s about time we (as a collective zodiac party) give back to our loyal, caring Cancerians (and stop roasting them). So, in honour of Crab season, we’ve curated a list of drinks that will please even the moodiest Cancers.

1. Pimms

Ah, Pimms, the staple to any British garden party. This pretty little punch is perfect for the Cancers in your life. Not only because it’s a whimsical fairy drink (a Cancer’s desired aesthetic) but it’s also a punch. We’ve been a bit hard on our crustacean fam, as it turns out they’re not just sensitive and dramatic they’re also super loyal and wonderfully caring, which is why punch is best. Cancers feel totally themselves when they’re caring for their people, so sharing a big pink drink with their closest friends in the safety of their garden is definitely a Cancer vibe. Serve Pimms in a giant punch bowl with heaps of ice, fruit, ginger ale, lemonade and a tonne of edible flowers, because… pretty.

2. Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz 2019

Who doesn’t love to party late into the night with a bunch of strangers? Well, we’ll tell you. It’s Cancers. Cancers want nothing more than to be snuggled up with their person, a good TV show, some takeout and a glass of wine. They’re homebodies. If any of your friends were to cancel plans last minute it’d be them. So, if you want to make a Cancer’s day, don’t invite them out for cocktails; head over to their house with a bottle of wine. Specifically, a Penfolds Bin 128 Shiraz 2019. Not only because it's delicious, but it is familiar in a wonderfully nostalgic way (Cancers love a bit of nostalgia). On the nose, it’s mocha cedarwood with notes of liquorice and dark berries, while on the palate it’s all juicy cherries, fresh blackcurrent and savoury oak. But we’re warning you, if you rock up with this wine at a Cancer’s house, be prepared for a D&M and a snuggle.

3. Hotel Starlino Rose Aperitivo

Look, Cancers may be sentimental and they may be pains-in-the-asses a lot of the time, but what they lack in practicality, they make up for in extreme creativity. You’d notice this if you’ve ever walked into a Cancer’s dwelling. No wall is spared from a mural, an outlandish colour (probably pink) or a collection of ‘found art.’ For that reason, we suggest gifting them a bottle of Hotel Starlino Rose Aperitivo. Why?
