The non-alc Salted Caramel Espresso Martini

Sweet, creamy and non-alcoholic, this Salted Caramel Non-Alcoholic Espresso Martini might just be the ultimate indulgence.

About the cocktail

Here we have a delicious take on the famous Espresso Martini – only non-alcoholic and with an added sweet and salty kick. This Non-Alcoholic Salted Caramel Espresso Martini is therefore the perfect drink to sip on to indulge your sweet tooth without the booze. Creamy, smooth and delicious, this is a real crowd-pleaser.

It borrows from the OG Espresso Martini, which never falls out of favour, and we also follow the lead of the full-strength Salted Caramel Espresso Martini, but we think this non-alc take still hits all the best notes of them all. We can thank Lyre’s for that in this particular recipe, which showcases the distiller’s booze-free versions of both coffee liqueur and spiced rum – the two combining here to create a surprisingly complex flavour.

Dan’s top tips

  • When it comes to non-alcoholic cocktails, the trick is to taste as you mix to make sure the drink is still ticking all those flavours and textures that you most enjoy in the real thing. Sometimes that process can involve adding extra ‘seasoning’ – perhaps with more sweetness (maybe a dash of sugar syrup) or bitterness (more espresso), or even trying some different brand non-alcoholic spirits to nail the final result. Get creative and make it your own – there’s absolutely no reason to sacrifice flavour or enjoyment when it comes to non-alcoholic cocktails.
