Gemtree from the martime region of McLaren Vale in South Australia produces a lovely, aromatic and textured Savagnin here. Savagnin grapes develop thick skins contributing to their intense aromas of apples, peaches, pears and citrus. As a result we liken Savagnin to a hybrid of Riesling and Pinot Grigio due to its fragrant aromatics and a wonderful acidity.
