This German inspired off-dry Riesling by Pewsey Vale has certainly hit its stride with the last couple of vintages. Granny Smith apples with razor like acid.

The bouquet shows metallic, slatey aromas sit with lemon sorbet, green apple and pot pourri. The palate is light to medium weighted for riesling, slightly slippery with a fine, nervous acid line from mid-palate striking out solo through the finish. Shows some of the green apple sweetness, but loses some of the inherent residual sugar in, again, steel and slate minerality. I like glass one but a revisit on glass two has me looking elsewhere, particularly in the context of higher RS riesling wines - I want more tension and play between the various enhanced elements in this wine; it seems to taper from its intent pretty quickly. Still, has some high refreshment factor.
