Matured for 9 months in French barriques (40% new). Towers over Bin 311; a heady complex and expressive bouquet with fruit and high quality French oak both on song. Grapefruit/nectarine flavours are tightly wound together, and ride high, wide and handsome on the back of perfectly pitched acidity.

Pale colour. Fresh white peach, oyster shell, flinty aromas with yeasty savoury oak nuances. Palate is concentrated with white peach, white apricot flavours, savoury vanilla oak notes, fine chalky touch al-dente textures and long crunchy acidity. Elegantly proportioned wine with underlying savoury oak notes. Crunchy almost searing acid cut. Made for the long haul. Needs a few years to build bottle age complexity. An elegantly styled Chardonnay leaning towards austere. Outstanding but for avid followers of the genre. 2018-2025
