Dry, Full Bodied style of ShirazFamily company Campbells have been producing great quality shiraz from their Rutherglen property for years, and over the past couple seem to have ramped the quality up a notch. I like the way Bobbie Burns shiraz is heading. I love the mix of sweet, sun-ripened raspberries and tarry, heavy dark flavour here, the bulk of it tempered by minerally, inky, textural tannin. Stew on it, or gulp of it – it’s great both ways. Awesome value.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.
