Dopff is a traditional Alsacian producer of quality table and sparkling wines. This fine stylish Riesling is delicately perfumed with both honeysuckle and citrus aromas. A tight palate follows with just the right amount of sweetness to give a textured mouthfeel with green apple and lime flavours. The finish is crisp, clean and racing. A bargain Riesling for those new to the variety and a steal for those who already know the beguiling beauty Riesling is.

This riesling from Alsace, on France's Rhine border with Germany, is an absolute bargain. It's delightfully perfumed with suggestions of blossom, lime, mandarin and exotic rose water. In the mouth it's intense, plump and lightly unctuous. A slightly fruit-sweet middle adds richness but it's still quite dry and appetising.

Amazing value for money. Creamed nuts, vanilla, lemon zest and fruit compote aromas and flavours, while the palate is soft and rounded, gentle and satisfying with a lick of sweetness. More generous and less austere than many young Australian rieslings.

Alsace Riesling magically combines the forceful nature of French wine with the delicacy and fragrance of German wine. This example is a bargain, offering exotic spice, pear, honey and lime aromas that follow through a mellow, slightly fruit-sweet mid-palate, finishing dry and savoury.
