Shaw & Smith is a benchmark Sauvignon Blanc. This release shows ripe tropical characters with restrained grassy notes and crisp dry acidity. Delightfully fresh lively and flavoursome. Always a classic and always quick to disappear off the shelves.

My recent dedication to reviewing each release of this wine both astonishes and amuses me. Incredibly watery-pale in colour - but not in flavour. This one bursts from the blocks with intense limey/pulpy/slatey flavour. It's not complex or necessarily lengthy - though it's not short - but it's pure and bright and well-powered. With yum cha, dim sum, whatever you want to call it - it would be excellent.
