This very Australian blend is one of the best performers from this wine producing heavy-weight. Loads of raspberry, mulberry and redcurrant are supported by a whisper of drying tannin.

Solid Koonunga Hill release. Nice notes of plums and blackcurrant with subtle toasty, roasted edges. Has some dried herb and olive notes, an elegance that you don't expect in a wine at this level. It's 70 per cent shiraz but cabernet sure makes its presence felt. It won't hit you in the face - you need to settle into its way of thinking. Probably not a long termer but it's a good drink.
