Following on from the 2010, the 2011 continues the style of voluptuous black and red fruits throughout. The real attraction here though is the remarkable depth of savoury layers; acidity, fine tannins and earthy complexity that sets this wine apart from its peers around this price. A classic best buy!

The stellar 2010 vintage brought a clutch of smart reds to Kangarilla Road. They have a deep red-purple hue and are fresh, bright and all-round lively. There's a lick of spice and a touch of chaff. Fruit-driven and a little straightforward but very good value.

The first sip of this ruby red Shiraz is dry and pleasantly bitter. Then a dense array of dark, black fruits hits you and fills your mouth with aromatic flavour. It won't be long in between sips with this wine's moreish qualities. This Shiraz is great value and it would be worth keeping a couple of bottles handy for a dinner party. Drink with a rich, meaty meal.
