Negoce Shiraz

  • Varietal:  Shiraz
  • Current Vintage:  2008*
  • Size:  750mL

Time to unveil the Heathcote deal of the year, Negoce Shiraz! From highly prized Greenstone Vineyards (Five star producer in the 2012 Halliday Wine Companion) in the area of Colbinabbin comes this plush delight that oozes savoury class, redcurrant and earthy spices with every mouthful. Don't miss out on this brilliant opportunity as the stakeholders have now realised how ridiculous it has been to make such a great wine from hallowed vines and sell it for this sort of price.

Mint, truffle reduction, black fruit, some pepper and mixed spice, and licorice - lovely Dutch licorice top notes. It's medium bodied with a lively core of acidity, a gentle creaminess to the tannin and subtle salted beef flavour along with a clutch of dried herbs. Length is pretty good too. The overall impression is of a stylish regional Shiraz with a nod to the Old World.
