Château Citran is a very important Château in the Haut-Médoc and more so in Avensan. Changing hands numerous times in the last 50 years, the current owners of Château Chasse Spleen operate the vineyard and produce wines of great approachability and pronounced fruit. The 2008 is a more fruit forward wine that those in recent vintages and will reward some careful medium-term cellaring.
