Among the finest examples we've ever seen of big and classy Australian Shiraz. Intense blackberries and red fruits throughout, yet the real fascination lies among premium nuances such as bright acidity, grippy fine tannins and a concentrated mouth-filling presence that will long be remembered.
Vintage: 2010 Score: 93 points
Dan Murphy's Wine Panel

This spectacular Central Victoria and Heathcote ripper beat a long line up of far higher priced and highly regarded offerings, and it is clearly evident why from the very first drop. Intensely focussed blackberries and red fruits are classy right from the beginning, yet the real fascination lies in a cavalcade of premium nuances that are numerous and irresistable. Bright acidity, grippy fine tannins and a concentrated mouth filling presence that will long be remembered. Poised, balanced, sleek and silky throughout. The battle for the bargain of 2011 just got hotter!
Vintage: 2009 Score: 94 points

A quality central Victoria-Heathcote shiraz at this price is good buying. Hereford opens with honest attractive earthy notes, a suggestion of liquorice giving it an almost tempranillo-like savouriness. The palate is smooth and round with good depth and soft tannins, perhaps a tad short, buy very likeable.
Vintage: 2009 Score: 4 stars
