The history of the Burge family and their long association with winemaking in the Barossa can be traced back to March 1855, when noted tailor John Burge immigrated from England to the Barossa to farm and plant vineyards. His grandson Percival Burge (Grants grandfather), established the Wilsford Winery in 1916, beginning the Burge winemaking tradition. Following in the footsteps of his father and forefathers before him, Grant now carries the winemaking tradition into the 21st century, combining the finest vineyards with modern winemaking techniques to express the classic Barossa. Grant has crafted this dense, vibrant red Barossa Shiraz to deliver aromas of concentrated plum cherries. The palate is soft, fleshy and full of ripe berry flavours coupled with sweet vanilla oak
