Coldstream Hills was established in 1985 by James and Suzanne Halliday and has always produced a benchmark cool-climate Pinot Noir. The 2010 sees the wine return to the Yarra Valley after the award winning 2009 was sourced from outside the Yarra boundries due to the horrendous vintage conditions due to bushfires. The wine sees a continuation of the outstanding quality of recent years with a Pinot that lovers of the variety will adore at such a great price.

Its a very tasty wine. Beautifully textural. Roped with ripe tannin. Tastes and smells of cranberry, woodsmoke, and crushed dry spice. Minerally/ stony finish. Finishes very dry... The taste of it combined with its street price; its the 2011Oz pinot noir Ive been looking for.

Mid-garnet, purple rim; a vibrant and fresh bouquet filled with black cherry, spice and a mere suggestion of spicy stem; the palate is silky and approachable, with seductive levels of sweet fruit, plenty of fine grained tannin as backbone and a long, toasty finish.
