(including Waipara)

Key Varieties: Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Gris

Canterbury is New Zealand’s fifth largest wine region. This is a relatively new wine region (est. 1977) with a temperate climate. Its world-class Pinot, including iconic Pegasus Bay, can be seriously structured and age worthy.

‘A very drinkable fresh example, full of citrus fruit, pear and spice. This is a crisper style of Gris. Sensational summer drinking.’

‘A second label from icon producer Pegasus Bay. By no means second-fiddle, this wine is made using traditional Burgundian techniques — not just a light red, this shows real pinosity.’
