1. What makes up a case?

Delivery charges are on a per caseˆ basis. Minimum delivery of one case (or part thereof) applies. Excludes wine fridges.

ˆA case may consist of:

  • Up to 12 mixed bottles of any wine, spirit or non-alcoholic product (e.g. water, soft drink). Each bottle may be up to 1.25 litres.
  • Any single full case of beer, cider or pre-mixed spirits (either a case of 12, 15, 18, 20, 24 or 30).
  • Any 4 x packs of beer, cider or pre-mixed spirits. A pack is defined as 1 x six-pack or 1 x four-pack of beer, cider or pre-mixed spirit bottles less than 500mL.
  • Any combination of 12 individual bottles of beer or cider less than 500mL.
  • Any 3 x 10 packs of beers or pre-mixed spirits.

3. Delivery details.

Our delivery partners are Nexday, Australia POST and CIVIC couriers.

If you are not at home at the time of delivery, an ‘Article Awaiting’ card will be left in your mailbox. This card will advise the next steps required to obtain delivery of your order. Your order will not be left with persons under the age of 18 years (proof of age may be required).

Customers who are paying for their order by credit card, may request for their delivery to be left unattended, however, our carriers reserve the right to leave a call waiting card regardless of this request. The following examples highlight reasons of where a call waiting card may be left regardless of an authority to leave request:

  • There was no one in attendance and no clear delivery instruction authorising us to leave the parcel in a safe place.
  • Somebody was at home but they could not provide proof of age.
  • There was an authority to leave (and no one answered the door), but the driver was concerned that minors were present within the vicinity of the premises (e.g. children playing inside or outside of the house).

Unfortunately unattended delivery is not available for customers paying by PayPal or Gift Card.

Orders will not be left unattended on the same day they are ordered under any circumstances

Unattended delivery is only available for households who receive a daily roadside letter delivery from Australia POST

Orders are despatched Monday to Friday. If we are in stock of your items at time of picking, we aim to dispatch your order the next business day.

We cannot guarantee or provide a day of the week or time of day for delivery.

Dan Murphy's is not able to accept requests to delay dispatch of any orders at this time.

Due to postage restrictions, goods exceeding 70% ABV (alcohol by volume) are not available for delivery.

Dan Murphy’s reserves the right to limit the number of products purchased to retail quantity limits.

Australia POST drivers are not able to call on approach, please check your tracking link in your dispatch email as to which delivery partner will delivery your order* Note: From time to time your order may come from 2 different delivery partners.

Each order may only be sent to one delivery address. If you need to send products to more than one delivery address please place a separate order for each delivery address. Once an order has been completed you are not able to change the delivery address. Please contact our Customer Service Team on 1300 72 33 88 and if the order has not been processed they may be able to update the delivery address for you.

4. Why do we ask for I.D?

Dan Murphy’s supports the responsible service of alcohol. It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. You can purchase Dan Murphy’s products online or over the phone and have your order delivered to your home or office. Due to Licensing Laws you must be over 18 years of age in order to place and receive a delivery. For further information regarding Liquor Licensing please refer to our licensing page. We may ask you to provide additional details or require you to confirm your details to enable us to process any orders placed through the Site.

5. Free delivery.

Free Delivery only applies to products purchased online or over the phone through the call centre. Free Delivery only applies to products that display the ‘Free Delivery’ badge. If an order contains a combination of Free Delivery and non-Free Delivery items, normal delivery charges will be applied for products that do not display the Free Delivery badge. For Free Delivery products, please be aware that the delivery charge is not removed until the payment page of the checkout.

6. Wine cabinet delivery.

Vintec Australia will contact you within 2 business days to organise a suitable time for delivery of your wine cabinet. Your location and the cabinet type you have purchased will determine the charges and length of time to deliver. Please use the Delivery tab on the Product Details page to estimate the delivery charges to your postcode.

Indicative time frames for delivery:

  • Vintec cabinets are usually shipped within 1-2 weeks for Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne/Perth and up to 4 weeks for all other areas.
  • Transtherm cabinets are usually shipped within 1-2 weeks for Brisbane/Sydney/Melbourne and up to 6 weeks for all other areas.

Warranty

All wine cabinets come with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty and are supported by Vintec’s dedicated national after-sales team. See Vintec Australia for full terms and conditions.

Wine Cabinet refund or exchange

If your goods are faulty as verified by the manufacturer then an exchange or refund is possible. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the selected cabinet is the right size for the intended location. A refund or exchange for wrong selection may be possible if installation has not occurred, however the buyer may incur additional delivery charges. Dan Murphy’s recommends that you thoroughly inspect your cabinet at time for delivery for faults and defects.

7. Returns and refunds.

If in the event your purchase is faulty, damaged or wrongly described we will cheerfully refund your money or exchange the product. If your purchase incurred a delivery fee, then we will cover the cost of delivery for the return*.

The fastest way to obtain a refund or exchange is to visit your local Dan Murphy’s store, where our team will be able to assist you immediately.

If visiting a store is not convenient for you, or there is not a store close to you, then please contact our Customer Service Team as soon as possible on 1300 72 33 88 to discuss the available options.

Please review our Customer Service Team’s trading hours before calling as the hours may vary depending on the day of the week and the time of year.

In the event that your product must be returned to our fulfilment centre, please allow 2-3 business days for your refund to be processed after the product has been received at the fulfilment centre.

For party orders and functions we encourage you to work with the Dan Murphy’s team to help correctly cater for your needs. If, however, you find you have excess then simply call 1300 72 33 88 and one of our team will manage your return request**.

If in the event that you change your mind then please call 1300 72 33 88, exchanges are possible at Dan Murphy’s discretion. For exchange of a delivered product, unfortunately additional delivery charges will be incurred at your expense*. Please note that all products must be in their original condition and packaging.

* Please note that the delivery charge will be reimbursed when Dan Murphy’s is at fault. That is, if the wrong product is delivered or there is a fault with the product (including any damage caused in transit). In all other circumstances, including change of mind, the delivery charge will be deducted from the refund to the customer.

** Proof of purchase must be provided to obtain a refund, limits may apply, all exchange products must be in their original condition and packaging.
